I appreciate the dialogue .. no questioning your devotion to bvb or the game .. personally, I am super excited about young Julian Weigl, for several reasons .. watched his contributions to the under 20 efforts, and have witnessed the hype machine starting to rev itself up on this lad .. tuchel himself opted for weigl over geis, who was under his tenure at mainz, with geis ending up with schalke instead .. also castro and burki will fit in very nicely .. I believe that tuchel will succeed where kloppo ultimately failed and shinji, miki, and kampl will shine .. and then there is hofmann, who seems to have won over the coaches respect as well .. and you are right, miki is an anomaly, but maybe, just maybe, he will find his groove under his new boss .. he had an outstanding match against wolfsberger .. even saved a sure goal .. what is becoming real clear to us dortmund fans is the enthusiasm being demonstrated by all the key players, both on and off the pitch .. and that is never a bad thing :) ...
tuchel has them believing, once again ..

Valencia have a lot of potential, Cancelo/Mina/Bakkali/Cartabia/De Paul, besides the already established Gaya/Gomes/Alcacer, Atletico are in danger of being overtaken as the major threat to the big two.

Im not a journalist but all I can see is a blatant nonsense and a one sided opinion here, if you really know bvb the BVB curse is slowly lifted by the time you wrote this... And it was klopp prodigy makes Bvb goes down, but you should wrote this like a month or 2 months ago pal... Now we can beat a first team juventus last week so you should rewrite some of your words here or go back into college

how many times does it have to be said before it sinks in with sports reporters (as opposed to Journalists who check facts prior to print). Rangers were not demoted, the club went into liquidation and the assets were bought over by sevco who were admitted to the bottom tier of scottish professional football then changed their name to The Rangers. For the sake of journalistic integrity and to prevent lazy regurgitation of statements as opposed to facts, please can you print facts? it doesn't take much to check this out, really. Carrying on with this falsehood that rangers were demoted does great damage to the integrity of the game up here.

good article! Id say his biggest competitor, position-wise, is Xabi Alonso. Hojberg is more of a #8 while Kimmich is more of a #6 and very similar to Alonso.

I agree with what you said about Tuchel. I even started following Mainz in 2010-2011. Tuchel is as good as it gets in game reading and changing tactics based on the situation. I still remember the Wolfsburg game where mainz were 3-0 down at the break and won 4-3 later . That season they did a double over bayern too. But the next season things fell apart. I won't blame tuchel. He just didn't have the players. You can do as much with the players available to you. Yes gundo, reus and Hummels would get into any first team but I'm not sure about the rest.if tuchel brings the best out of miki that would be his biggest achievement. When miki is on fire, bvb never lose. But he goes missing too often, he's a riddle I'll never understand.i followed the juve game a few days back and yes there is a stark contrast in build up play. The team looks comfortable in possession and maintaining it. I just hope that they get the striker who'll complete tuchel 's squad. Hopefully we'll win tomorrow.

Thanks for the analysis, just one correction at the end. Due to seeding, it's impossible for Valencia to play Manchester, Leverkusen, Ajax or Shaktar in the play-off round. Monaco, Sporting. Lazio, Bruges and Sparta Prague are the likely opponents.

their problem was not in their acquisitions, rather it was in the fashion in which they were deployed, and in the system being used, plain and simple .. all bvb needs now is another forward because ramos is not an adequate fit .. mark my words, dortmund is champs league material once again.

I respectfully disagree .. wholeheartedly .. they have acquired a master tactician in tuchel, who can do a lot, even if he were to have very little, which is not the case at dortmund, at all .. they arguably have 3 of the very best players on any squad in their respective positions in reus, gundogan, and hummels .. they became disillusioned last term with klopp at the helm, as he continued to use the same blueprint that was successful years prior, and had no answer as the league caught up .. bvb will be just fine .. tuchel has injected a brand new sense of pride and passion amongst the players, evidence of that in the words of the many that were ready to move on as a result .. credit to klopp for recognising that he was the problem .. this new brand of black and yellow will rival all soon enough .. time and patience is what is required, not some inflammatory dribble that is present in this authors opinion.

But I agree with the point where it says that the quality has dropped a lot. I really don't think BVB's transfer dealings have been top notch in the last 2 seasons (excluding present one where too they haven't been active despite a dreadful last season). Zorc and the scouting network really needs to step up. There were 4 tournaments played this summer - Copa, U21 and U19 Euro, U20 World Cup - BVB could easily have found players with solid potential on the cheap but they didn't bother signing anyone of the sort. Last I want to see them come up with another moderate to big money signings like Immobile instead of players with solid potential.

Benteke and Carroll might not be identical players, granted, but they are equally ineffective in a system like ours, IMHO. Also, Carroll was always believed to be an out and out heading machine, but I think he offered much more, with a canon for a left foot and some decent positioning.

Agreed. A rare article of carefully considered moderation and accuracy.

Joe Gomez as a future good player, maybe. Left back, no. BR needs a new LB to replace Enrique who gives liability a bad name.

Top 4? "Should" is a big word. By what right. All top 4 already have established top sides with longevity and are still spending heavily. Totally disagree with the idea that BR should be fired as a matter of course if we don't make it. We're way behind in terms of squad quality of the other 4, so it'll be hard and an achievement if succesful.
